Sapporo Islamic International School (SIIS) Elementary school used an international standard syllabus that is integrated with Islamic education. the outline of the learning points provided includes:

International Curriculum:
  1. Improve proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English through a communicative approach.
  2. Enhance vocabulary and grammar skills through engaging activities such as reading comprehension, writing essays, and oral presentations.
  3. Foster cultural awareness and global citizenship by exploring literature and texts from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.(Following Common Core State Standards)
  1. Develop foundational skills in arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  2. Understand mathematical concepts such as place value, fractions, geometry, and measurement through hands-on activities and problem-solving tasks.
  3. Enhance critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities by applying mathematical principles to real-life situations and mathematical puzzles.

Islamic Subject:

(Memorization and Understanding)

  3. Cultivate a deeper connection to Islamic spirituality through memorization of surahs and understanding their significance.

  1. Gain knowledge about the pillars of Islam, including belief, worship, ethics, and social justice.
  2. Understand the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and other key figures in Islamic history.

Japanese Studies:

(Grammar and Reading)

  3. Gain cultural understanding by learning about Japanese customs, traditions, and festivals.

(Katakana and Hiragana)

  1. Develop proficiency in reading and writing hiragana and katakana, the two syllabaries of the Japanese writing system.
  2. Master stroke order, pronunciation, and recognition of moji characters through consistent practice and drills.
  3. Apply knowledge of moji characters in reading simple texts and writing basic sentences in Japanese.

  1. Learn to recognize and write basic kanji characters, focusing on stroke order and proper writing techniques.

Morning Line and Adhkar

At Sapporo Islamic International School, the morning exercise warm-up activity and reciting the morning dhikr serve as integral components of our daily routine, designed to nurture both the physical and spiritual well-being of our students. The warm-up exercises are not merely about preparing our bodies for the day ahead but also instilling the importance of physical fitness and health habits from a young age.

Through these activities, students develop coordination, flexibility, and stamina while also fostering teamwork and camaraderie. Simultaneously, the recitation of the morning dhikr provides a serene and reflective start to the day, allowing students to connect with their faith and set a positive intention for their studies and interactions. It serves as a moment of spiritual grounding, promoting mindfulness, gratitude, and a sense of unity within the school community. Together, these practices create a harmonious balance between physical vitality and spiritual enrichment, laying the foundation for a productive and purposeful day ahead.

IT Class

At Sapporo Islamic International School, the IT and Multimedia class for elementary students serves as a gateway to the digital world, empowering our young learners with essential skills and knowledge for the 21st century. Through engaging and interactive lessons, students are introduced to the fundamentals of information technology, including computer literacy, basic coding concepts, and digital citizenship. They learn to navigate software applications, explore creative multimedia tools, and develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a technology-rich environment.

Moreover, the IT and Multimedia class fosters creativity and innovation, encouraging students to express themselves through digital media such as graphics, audio, and video production.
